Two mild earthquakes hit Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials said. There were no immediate reports of damage due to the tremors, they said.

The epicenter of the two earthquakes occurred in Kishtwar, the officials added.

According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 occurred in Kishtwar at 11:01 pm.

The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers below the earth’s surface at 33.34 degrees latitude and 76.62 degrees longitude, the NCS said.

Another earthquake of magnitude 3.8 occurred at 5:20 p.m. The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers from the earth’s surface at 33.37 degrees latitude and 76.69 degrees longitude, the NCS said.
