Preparations are on to fill 22230 Group ‘D’ posts in UP Secondary Education Department soon. All these recruitments will be done through outsourcing. These recruitments will be completed by selecting eligible candidates at the divisional level. For this, a recruitment drive will be conducted at the divisional level under the guidance of the Divisional Commissioner.

To complete the campaign in a transparent manner, a committee of department officials as well as officials of departments nominated by the Divisional Commissioner will be formed. After completing the recruitments, all other vacant posts of Group ‘D’ in the Secondary Education Department across the state will be filled. All these vacant posts are of government and aided secondary schools. These will be filled by the end of September this year.

It is noteworthy that in the secondary education department, there are a total of 42170 sanctioned posts of group ‘D’ which includes other posts including attendants. Out of these, 144 posts are government posts whereas there are 42026 sanctioned posts in aided secondary schools. Out of these sanctioned posts, less than 50% i.e. 19,874 posts are filled in aided secondary schools and 66 posts of attendants or group ‘D’ are filled.

In this way, 78 posts are vacant in government and 22152 posts are vacant in aided secondary schools. It is said that the government is also preparing rules for appointment in group ‘C’. All the vacant posts of group ‘C’ outside the purview of Education Service Selection Commission will also be filled through the prescribed procedure. At present, 41,136 posts of group ‘C’ are vacant which is less than 50 percent of the sanctioned posts of 1,32,279.
