The Himachal Pradesh government has taken a very important decision keeping in mind the development of young children. The government has announced the recruitment of 6,297 pre-primary teachers on out-source basis in the state to strengthen the primary education of children. Under this step, 60 thousand registered in the pre-primary schools of the state will be covered. This recruitment will be done by the State Electronics Corporation.

These pre-primary teachers will have to work on the posts of early childhood care and education instructors. In the state cabinet meeting held a few days ago, an important decision was taken to recruit early childhood care and education instructors in pre-primary schools to provide better education to young children. This recruitment process will be done as per the rules of the central government. Only those candidates who have a two-year Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) diploma from a recognized university or institute will be appointed to the posts.
In Himachal Pradesh, the framework for these recruitments will be prepared under the Himachal Pradesh Early Childhood and Education Teacher Scheme for children aged three to six years. The Directorate of Education will inform the State Electronics Corporation about the recruitment of pre-primary teachers on out-source basis. The Electronics Corporation will recruit teachers on 6,297 posts only after selecting outsourcing companies. The government wants to ensure the complete development of children in childhood through this recruitment.

Pre-primary teachers recruited on out-source basis will be paid Rs 10,000 per month including GST, agency charges and other expenses. At present, Electronics Corporation charges 5 percent agency charge on monthly salary and deducts 10 percent employee provident fund (EPF). Apart from this, 18 percent GST is also levied on out-sourcing recruitments. Due to which pre-primary teachers will get about Rs 7,000 per month.
