About four and a half thousand community health officers will be appointed in Bihar Health Sub Center and Health Wellness Center. The health department aims to release the vacancy by the end of this month. The vacancy will come through the State Health Committee. Appointment will be on the basis of contract. The salary will be Rs 40,000 including 32 thousand salary per month and 8 thousand rupees incentive. Earlier, the vacancy of 4500 community health officers was released on March 9. There was not a single vacancy in the unreserved category in the vacancy. Due to no vacancy in the unreserved category, the vacancy was canceled after protest at various levels. Now the final vacancy will be released after calculating the category wise vacancy afresh. According to official sources, the department’s target is to release the vacancy in a month. Candidates will be given about a month’s time to apply online after the vacancy comes. Candidates with a degree in CHC i.e. Certificate in Community Health along with BSc Nursing degree holders will get a chance to apply.
Last time, in the vacancy, 145 posts were shown for economically weaker section and 78 posts for women of economically weaker section. Maximum 1345 posts were for extremely backward class, while 331 posts were for women of this category. 1279 posts were also given for scheduled caste. While there were 230 posts for women of this category. This time the vacancy will be revised and released.
The maximum age will be between 42 to 47 years and the minimum age of applicants will be 21 years. The maximum age limit is different for different categories.
The maximum age for unreserved and economically weaker sections will be 42 years. For women of unreserved and economically weaker sections the age will be 45 years. For women and men of backward and extremely backward classes the maximum age will be 45 years. For candidates of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories the maximum age limit will be 47 years. There will be a provision of maximum 10 years relaxation in the age limit for handicapped candidates. Along with this, there will be a provision of relaxation of up to 5 years in the application for the employees associated with the health department also.
