Now actress Richa Chadha, who plays the character of Lajjo in Hiramandi, has told that she had taken 30 to 40 retakes for her dance number in the series, yet she was not able to do it. After this, Richa drank alcohol so that she could perform the scene properly.
40 takes were given for this dance number
In an interview given to Zoom, Richa told that she had consumed ‘gin’ (a type of liquor) to shoot her solo dance. He said that on the first day I was not able to dance under the influence, so after giving 30-40 takes I thought I should take a quarter and see what happens after that. After this I took some gin. Richa said that she drank only a little, but after that things took a turn for the worse.
I was not able to do the scene so I drank alcohol
Richa told that when she tried to dance after drinking alcohol, she realized that it was better for her to pretend to be drunk, because that way she had more control over her dance and performance. After this Richa said that that is why I cannot do method acting because I am already too much into it. She said, I can say that whatever scenes I have done in this show, and I know there are not many scenes, I have given my 100 percent contribution in it. She said that I am not distracted even while giving cue to anyone. Even when I was dancing, I didn’t come out of my character. This show took a lot from me, but I loved it all.”
