Abha Sharma i.e. Ammaji seen in this scene has made a place in the hearts of the audience. Now the audience of Panchayat wants to know more and more about Abha’s life. Very few people know that she wanted to become an actor since childhood but her wish was fulfilled at the age of 54. Currently she is 75 years old. Abha has shared some things related to her life during an interview.

Acting for siblings

Abha Sharma told Indian Express, I wanted to become an actor since childhood but my mother did not allow me to enter the film industry. She did not like this work. I did not want to go against her wishes. My family was educated but old-fashioned. After my mother’s death, I started acting again and this time I had to support my siblings. In 1979, Abha started teaching.

Teeth broke at the age of 35

Abha’s father worked in a telecom company. After his death, Abha took the responsibility of taking care of her family and never married. At the age of 35, she got an infection in her gums after which she lost all her teeth. At the age of 45, she developed a rare problem due to which her hands and legs started trembling. She left teaching in 1991. After this, she did theatre in Lucknow. After this, she did many dramas and slowly moved towards her dream. When she came to Mumbai, she got work in ads and then gradually started getting small roles. Abha has also worked in Parineeti and Arjun’s film Ishaqzaade.
