Now stories related to this film are coming out one after the other. Now the writer and additional director of the film Snehil Dixit Mehra has told how Taha Shah Badusha harassed her in a scene.

When Taha Shah refused to cry

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Life, Snehil told that her and Taha Shah’s ideas were not matching regarding a scene. She told, “There was a scene in the series where Taha Shah harassed me.” He was not listening to me. In an important scene of the series, I wanted tears in his eyes and he was telling me – “Aadmi thho rote hai (men do not cry).” She said, “I was telling him that this boy has to cry, only then the audience will cry for him too, please…”

Snehil told that a lot of retakes had to be taken for that scene. She said that Taha is very sweet, after that he told me, “Come on, you are my sister, I will do it for you.” Snehil also told that she was working as a director for the first time. She said that everyone on the set made her feel comfortable.

Retakes happened several times

She said that many scenes had to be retaken many times because she was directing for the first time. She said, “Many times I was getting nervous, the series had veteran actresses like Farida Jalal, we have grown up watching her, so how can you tell them what to do.”

Heeramandi was released on Netflix on May 1. The film stars actors like Sonakshi Sinha, Sharmin Segal, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
