The web series ‘Hiramandi’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, continues to be in the headlines. Actor Indresh Malik has played the role of a transgender in this series showing the contribution of courtesans in the freedom struggle. In an interview, Indresh has told how his experience of working with the star director was. He also told how Bhansali gave him the freedom to do improvisation in his work and how at times he was a little scared of Bhansali.

‘Did a small role in Gangubai’

In an interview with Bollywood Now, Malik recalled how he had a small cameo role in the Alia Bhatt starrer film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Indresh did his job well in that film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Malik said, “I am still under the spell of Bhansali. I could not live without being influenced by him and at the same time I had to work with him. And as an artiste, I am not allowed to express myself very openly. Can.”

Indresh said – Bhansali used to come in my dreams

Indresh said in a joking tone, “He (Bhansali) used to come in my dreams at night. He used to strangle me. I even told him this on the shooting set.” Let us tell you that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his in-depth art and perfection. Almost every film of his has been cult and every star considers it a privilege to work with him. Ranveer Singh had said about this that after working in Bhansali’s film, the actor becomes ‘Bhansalified’.

Indresh never got tired of praising Bhansali.

Indresh told that he thanked Sanjay Leela Bhansali for doing improvisation in the work. He said, “He gave me the opportunity to work within my comfort zone and allowed me to move forward with the flow. He gave me the freedom to change my dialogues as per my wish and I am very thankful to him for all these things. ” Indresh said that he used to ask a lot of questions to SLB. “He’s a perfectionist,” she said.
