Press release issued by the Border Security Force (BSF) revealed that it recovered a drone carrying a packet of suspected heroin from the border area of Ferozepur district on Monday. The recovered drone is identified as a Chinese-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic.
The official release mentions that the BSF vigilant troops, while carrying out a routine search operation on April 29, 2024, at around 8:00 am, observed a small drone along with a parcel in an agricultural field in the border area of Ferozepur district.
“The troops immediately seized the drone and the package of suspected narcotics package, which was wrapped in white packaging material and black adhesive tape (gross weight: 510g). “A luminous ball was also found attached to the package,” he added.
According to the statement, the recovery took place in an agricultural field adjacent to Village Gandu Kilcha in Ferozepur district.
The successful recovery of the illicit narcotics drone underlines the BSF’s unwavering commitment to decimate the narco-threat from across the border.
Earlier on Sunday, in a joint operation, troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) and punjab police recovered a drone adjacent to Rajoke village in Tarn Taran district of Punjab.
“During the search operation, at around 11am, troops successfully recovered a disabled drone from an agricultural field adjacent to Rajoke village in Tarn Taran district,” he said.
