A sensational case has come to light from Fatehpur, UP. Where a truck hit a bike rider on Monday evening on Bindki-Chaudgara bridge of Mughal Road in Kalyanpur police station area. In the accident, the young man got trapped in the truck along with the bike and was dragged for a hundred meters. In this accident, he died on the spot, while his friend sitting behind was injured. Angered by this incident, the villagers created a ruckus by blocking the Mughal road and set the truck on fire. Police reached the spot on information and extinguished the fire of the truck and brought the situation under control within two hours.
25-year-old Satyam Singh, resident of village Bisunamau of Kalyanpur police station, had come to Chaudagra town by bike with his friend Brajesh Singh. While returning home after completing the work, he was hit by a truck coming from Jehanabad on Bindki Choudhary over bridge. Due to the collision, the friend sitting behind jumped and fell on the footpath, while Satyam got stuck in the hook near the wheel of the truck and kept getting dragged for a distance. The young man’s body parts started scattering on the road. Somehow people stopped the truck but the driver fled from the spot.

On hearing about the accident, a huge crowd came from the village. Angry villagers blocked the road and insisted on arresting the driver and bringing him back. The police kept explaining to him but he became furious and set the cabin of the truck on fire. This created chaos, forces were called from several police stations to control the ruckus, the police somehow controlled the fire. People were pacified by assurance of strict action and then the traffic jam was cleared. Inspector in-charge Kalyanpur Ramashankar Saroj said that along with sending the body for post-mortem, the driver of the truck is being searched.
