UKSSSC LT Grade Teacher Recruitment 2024: Uttarakhand High Court has given an interim order to reduce the cut off age limit for Assistant Teacher (LT) to July 1, 2023. In the release of Uttarakhand Subordinate Selection Service Commission, the cut off age limit was kept as 1 July 2024. The next hearing of the case will be on August 8. In this regard, the High Court has given this interim relief while hearing the petition of Chamoli resident Surendra Singh and others.

A single bench of Justice Pankaj Purohit, while hearing the case, has directed UKSSSC to also accept the applications of the petitioners under this release. The last date of application to appear in this examination is 12th April.

The petition said that the Commission had issued a notification to fill the vacant posts of LT on March 14, 2024. A condition was laid down in the release that the age limit of the applying candidates will be calculated on the basis of July 1, 2024. Whereas the petitioners said that the age limit should be calculated (cut off) on the basis of July 1, 2023. Because the vacant posts of Assistant Teacher LT are before the date of issue of this release. This release has been issued later. Because of this they have become ineligible for this recruitment examination.

It has been said in the petition that the Commission has not followed the rules of Assistant Teacher LT Rules 2014 in the release issued, hence the condition of age limit fixed by the Commission should be banned.
