The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged multiple cases of sexual abuse by Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna has launched an investigation to identify those who allegedly called a woman and “forced” her to file a “complaint false” against the JD(S). leader, sources said Friday.
The move comes after the National Commission for Women said a complainant who approached it claimed she was forced to register a false complaint against the 33-year-old, Hassan’s candidate in the Lok Sabha polls and grandson of JD. (S) Patriarch HD Deve Gowda.
Sources said the investigation team headed by Additional Director General of Police BK Singh came to know about the woman only after the NCW sent the complaint to the SIT.
