Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Hiramandi The Diamond Bazaar is in the news. The entire cast of the series has become famous. However, after the release of this series, actress Sharmin Segal has faced a lot of trolling. Bhansali’s niece and actress Sharmin has played the character of Alamzeb in the series. Amidst so much trolling, Sharmin has now revealed that she has watched the series only once and explained why she did not watch it again.

Why I did not see Hiramandi more than once

Speaking to News18, Sharmin said, “I have watched Heeramandi only once because I don’t like to watch my work again and again. I watch only as much as I need to. You get feedback and you have to watch everything that is said because as an actor you can’t always go to the monitor and see what you have done.”

How was your performance?

On how she felt after watching her own performance, Sharmin said, ‘It is very different to watch your own work. I have seen Hiramandi from a different perspective. We tend to be critical of ourselves. When I saw myself onscreen, I felt very shy and ticklish. My cheeks also turned red.’

Sharmin had felt the same during the release of her first film Malaal. She said, ‘It is a different feeling to present yourself and perform in front of so many people. The first time I saw Malaal, I thought that the screen is so big and my face is on it. I felt shy when so many people will see me.’

Bhansali and Sharmin have something in common

Regarding Bhansali, Sharmin said, ‘One thing about Sanjay sir is that he always tries to improve himself. If he watches Heeramandi today, he will say that he could have done this, he could have done this better. He will do this with all his films. Similarly, when I watch my film, I also think about where and what I can do better.’
