Shocking new details have emerged about assault allegations against American rapper Sean “Diddy” combs.
New surveillance video shows the rapper grabbing, pushing and kicking his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie, during an altercation in 2016, People magazine reports. The images match the accusations he made in a now-settled lawsuit filed last November.
In the surveillance video, published by CNN, Casandra `Cassie` Venturanow 37, leaves a hotel room and walks toward an elevator as Combs, now 54, chases after her with a towel around his waist.
According to People, when he reaches her, Combs is seen grabbing her by the neck and throwing her to the ground. As Ventura lies on the ground, Combs violently kicks her while she grabs her purse and her suitcase.
As Ventura lies motionless on the ground, Combs kicks her again and briefly drags her into the room before releasing her and walking away. Seconds later, she sits in a chair, grabs an object from a table, and throws it at him. Combs then walks away from her, but turns to Ventura once more when she opens an elevator door and someone gets out.
Ventura’s attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, said in a statement obtained by People: “The harrowing video has only further confirmed Combs’ disturbing and predatory behavior.”
“Words cannot express the courage and strength Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” he added.
