Within a short time from now the audience’s wait will end and ‘Hiramandi’ will be released. Heroines like Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmeen Sehgal will play important roles in this web series.
However, you will be surprised to know that Sanjay Leela’s choice for the original star cast of this film were some other Bollywood actresses.
Sanjay Leela wanted to cast Rekha, Kareena and Rani
There was a program for the premiere of ‘Hiramandi’ in Los Angeles. It was during this program that Sanjay Leela Bhansali talked about the original star cast of Hiramandi. Sanjay Leela Bhansali told that Hiramandi was planned as a film 18 years ago, but the story was so long that the film could not be made. While talking to Lily Singh in the program, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, ‘This happened 18 years ago. At one time it was going to have Rekha ji, Kareena and Rani Mukherjee in it.
Wanted to cast Pakistani actors
Along with this, Sanjay Leela Bhansali told that there was a time when he wanted to cast Pakistani actors – Mahira Khan, Imran Abbas and Fawad Khan in Heeramandi, but then all this changed. Sanjay Leela Bhansali further said that he is very happy with his current cast.
Fardeen Khan is returning to the world of acting
Fardeen Khan is going to return to the world of acting after a long time with ‘Hiramandi’. Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman are also seen in the male cast of the show. Whereas, Manisha, Sonakshi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Sharmin Sehgal will be seen in the role of courtesans in this film.
