Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has approved an ex-gratia donation of Rs 10 lakh each to the kin of those killed in the terror attack on a bus in Reasi district, an official spokesperson said on Monday.
Sinha also approved Rs 50,000 for each of the injured, the spokesperson said.
On Sunday, terrorists opened fire on the bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district, killing nine and injuring 41 others.
The 53-seater bus, which was heading from Shiv Khori temple to Katra, went off the road after the shelling and fell into a deep gorge near Teryath village in Poni area.
The spokesperson said the district administration has set up a control room to provide all necessary assistance to those affected.
Efforts are being made to neutralize the perpetrators of the terrorist attack, the spokesperson said.
