A case of criminal intimidation and entrapment has been filed against the father and grandfather of the minor accused of killing two IT professionals from Madhya Pradesh on May 19 when he crashed his Porsche into a motorcycle in Pune in a drunken state, PTI reported.
The accident, which took place in Kalyani Nagar, made national headlines due to efforts made to bail out the minor, resulting in the arrest of several people, including his father and grandfather.
According to the police, reported PTI, Mushtaq Momin (45), who runs a real estate agency in Kondhwa, filed a complaint alleging that the father-son duo, who are in the real estate business, and another individual did not pay him a commission worth Rs 1.32 crore in lieu of acquiring possession of a plot.
An FIR was registered against the duo and their associate identified as Jaspritsingh Rajpal under sections 420 (cheating), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 504 and 506 (criminal intimidation), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 392 of the Penal Code. India (CPI). (robbery), the official said.
“The accused had approached Momin to help him acquire possession of the disputed land in Kondhwa, offering him Rs 1.5 crore as remuneration. The complainant was given Rs 18 lakh as advance and the remaining amount was promised to him upon completion of the deal. After Momin successfully negotiated with the land owners and got possession of the land, the accused started delaying in paying the rest of the amount,” he said.
Momin also stated in his complaint that the minor’s grandfather threatened him with connections to the underworld.
On Thursday, the boy’s father and grandfather were indicted in an old accessory to suicide case.
The grandfather is in judicial custody for allegedly kidnapping the family driver to force him to take the blame for the Porsche accident. The minor’s father and mother are in prison for alleged involvement in the exchange of blood samples collected to check alcohol consumption as part of the accident investigation.
