“We have CCTV footage of him (the minor) drinking liquor in the pub. The point of saying this is that our case does not depend on the blood report alone as we have other evidence as well,” the officer said, according to PTI. .

“He (the minor) was completely of sound mind. He was fully aware that due to his conduct, such an accident can occur, where section 304 applies,” Kumar said.

On allegations of preferential treatment given to the minor, Kumar said a senior ACP officer is investigating the claim.

On reports that the minor was served pizza after the incident, Kumar said, “We have clearly said that there was no pizza party at the police station. But yes, something happened and we have started an internal investigation,” the spokesperson said. . the news agency reported on Friday.

“We are trying to make this a strong case. We have already filed a case against the accused’s father and the bar owners. Technical analysis of the evidence is underway,” he said.

He said an internal investigation has pointed out lapses on the part of some police officers in registering the case and action will be taken against them for destruction of evidence.

“During our investigation it became clear that the minor was driving the car and we have already gathered all the necessary chronological evidence. For example, when the minor left the house, the entry in the security log shows that he left with the car,” he said. said.

Based on technical evidence and security cameras, it is confirmed that the car was driven by the minor, the police chief said.

Eyewitnesses also corroborated that the teenager, son of real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, was driving the Porsche at the time of the accident, he said.
