Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday took out a mega tour in support of BJP candidate from Ayodhya Lallu Singh. The high voltage campaign spearheaded by the Prime Minister garnered tremendous response, with participation from a large number of people.
The roadshow started from Sugriva Fort and ended at Lata Chowk via the Ram Path. It took more than an hour to travel this crowded two-kilometre road as people warmly greeted the Prime Minister and Prime Minister, expressing their support in this election. All along the route, people chanted slogans in support of Modi-Yogi, and both leaders also greeted their followers with folded hands and asked for votes by displaying the ‘lotus’ flower.
People kept chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ throughout the journey to greet the Prime Minister and the CM. Along the roadshow route, the sound of conch shells echoed at some places, as women performed the aarti of Prime Minister Modi and others. The performers also showed glimpses of Awadh culture through dance.
At the roadshow, women dressed in saffron clothes walked in front of the car. People and devotees from across the country thronged both sides of the streets in large numbers to see Prime Minister Modi and CM Yogi. They also captured the moment with their mobile phone cameras.
Prime Minister Modi today visited Ayodhya for the third time in six months. The Prime Minister visited Ayodhya on December 30, 2023 and gifted development projects worth billions of rupees to the city. He again visited Ayodhya for the inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22, 2024.
It is worth mentioning here that Ayodhya is the only district where development projects worth more than Rs 32,000 crore are progressing simultaneously. With the establishment of a world-class railway station and the gift of an international airport named after Maharishi Valmiki, the city is undergoing rapid development.
