Actor Pankaj Jha, who plays the role of MLA in ‘Panchayat 3’, has taken Pankaj Tripathi to task. Pankaj Jha had taken a dig at Pankaj Tripathi a few days ago, saying that some actors glamorize their struggle of “stealing another actor’s slippers”. Why is Pankaj Jha angry with Pankaj Tripathi and Anurag Kashyap?
Let us tell you, film director Anurag Kashyap has worked with Pankaj Jha in films like ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Gulaal’. When he was making ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ (2012), he had approached Pankaj Jha for the role of Sultan Qureshi. However, this role was given to Pankaj Tripathi instead of Pankaj Jha and after this Pankaj Tripathi earned a good name in the film industry.
How did Pankaj Jha lose the role of Sultan Qureshi?
Explaining what happened during ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, Pankaj Jha said, ‘I had gone to Patna for shooting a film. While I was shooting there, I got a message from him. He was calling me to Mumbai. I told him that I am shooting for a film and will be back in a day or two. Then I came to know that the role for which he was calling me, he has given that role to someone else. Well, I love Anurag very much and I have no complaints against anyone.’
Pankaj spoke on the politics behind ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’
When Pankaj Jha was asked about the politics behind ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, he said in an interview to Digital Commentary, “I don’t care about the politics happening behind my back. If I get bothered by this politics, then the one who does politics will win, right? So it doesn’t matter to me and people who do politics behind someone’s back are generally cowards. Isn’t it? Otherwise, they would have come forward and spoken openly.”
