Now actor Shekhar Suman has claimed that some people in Pakistan are very jealous of the Hiramandi web series. Shekhar Suman, who played the role of Zulfiqar Ahmed in the web series, questioned those who criticized the authenticity of Hiramandi. He clarified that Sanjay Leela Bhansali did not make any documentary on Hiramandi, he just took cues from there.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Shekhar Suman said that many stupid people are upset and are raising questions about its history, but Bhansali sahab is known for his dystopian stories. He is known for the world he creates. He is a master craftsman. He creates his own world and that is cinema. Shekhar Suman further said, ‘Cinema should not be questioned, interpretation should also not be questioned, because this is his point of view. He can take it or leave it if he wants. He has not made any documentary on Hiramandi, he has just taken some hints from there.’

Shekhar further told the people of Pakistan who were questioning him about this series, ‘There are some people in the neighbouring country who are very jealous that why did they make it. Brother, you could have made it and why are you discussing our Hiramandi? We do not discuss your films. We do not even know that you make films.’
