The Delhi government will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday on the water crisis facing the city amid a prevailing heat wave, officials said. The national capital is facing water shortage due to unprecedented summer heat, with temperatures hovering around 50 degrees Celsius in some parts of the city.
The meeting, to be held at noon, will be attended by Water Minister Atishi, Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, Chief Secretary and other senior officials, they said. Atishi has alleged shortage in water supply due to Haryana stopping Delhi’s portion of Yamuna.
