Martin Lorenzo has expressed concern for his health after a viral clip of the actor from the ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ premiere in Los Angeles sparked speculation on social media, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the viral video, Lawrence and ‘Bad Boys 4’ her co-star Will Smith is on top of a bus addressing the crowd during the premiere. Smith is seen leading a seemingly unstable Lawrence to see the crowd.
According to fans on social media, Lawrence also seemed noticeably less energetic than Smith.
Lawrence and Smith appeared on Hot 97’s Ebro, and host Ebro Darden explicitly asked them about Internet rumors about Lawrence’s health.
“Now Martin… everyone is talking [about] you on the balcony greeting people, [you`re] Looking around, where are you looking around? …people took it as if something was wrong with his health, or something,” Darden asked.
“I thought, oh, this is rock concert stuff,” Lawrence joked, referring to his surprise at the size of the crowd. “What the hell is going on? [This is] for a movie?”
Darden then asked more directly: “But on that note, Martin, is there anything you want to tell people because they’re worried about your health?”
“I’m fine. I’m in God’s hands,” Lawrence said, adding, “I’m blessed. You know, I’m glad I wake up every day. I’m fine. There’s no need for people to worry.”
Lawrence, apparently addressing speculators on social media, joked: “I’m very healthy. Enough of the rumors!”
Lawrence, 59, has had health problems before. In May 1996, the actor was briefly hospitalized after crashing into traffic in Los Angeles while he screamed and screamed. A doctor later diagnosed Lawrence with significant fatigue and dehydration.
In another health emergency in 1999, Lawrence was hospitalized again and fell into a coma for three days, after collapsing from severe heat exhaustion while exercising, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
