Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Tuesday said he spoke to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who informed him that water was being supplied to the national capital as per the allocated share.
The ruling AAP administration has repeatedly accused BJP-ruled Haryana of stopping Delhi’s water share over the past fortnight. The national capital has been experiencing severe water shortage amid the unprecedented summer heat.
The LG met Delhi ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj on Monday and assured them that he would take up the water supply issue with the Haryana government. He advised them not to indulge in “blame game” and resolve the issues amicably.
“I spoke to Honorable CM, Haryana, Shri Nayab Saini ji yesterday. He reiterated that water was being supplied to Delhi as per the allocated share and assured all possible help, despite the state’s own limitations due to the current heat wave,” Saxena said in a post on X on Tuesday.
