However, now Sanjay Leela Bhansali has revealed that she was actually crying during that song.
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Sanjay Leela Bhansali told that he got angry with Richa during the shoot of the song ‘Masoom Dil’. He got angry at Richa after which the actress started crying. He told that Richa got angry with him and started crying and then he shot that song.
When Sanjay Leela Bhansali got angry at Richa
Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that during the shoot of the song Masoom Dil Hai Mera, Richa was not able to perform it well. Bhansali said, “It was a special moment, but she was not getting it right. She was trying, but I was not getting what I wanted.” He said that after a point I got a little angry. I said, you have rehearsed it, but still it is not happening properly, you are not able to understand the state of mind of the character in the song.” I got angry at her, after which she also got angry with me.
Sanjay praised Richa
Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that I thought that Richa’s anger could be used for expressions in the song. The anger on her face was very special. Her expressions in the song were the result of an angry conversation between me and her. Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that I angrily asked her how many takes she wanted?
Praising Richa, Sanjay said that if any other actress had been in her place, she would have probably left the set in anger, but Richa and I both understood that the shot is important, the song is important, the scene is more important, the series is more important than both of us.
