This film is about a volleyball game that takes place throughout the duration of the film. Unlike other recent anime films, this one doesn’t have much of a story and the drama doesn’t build into feverish action or excitement.
This film is part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Haruichi Furudate’s Weekly Shonen Jump manga series, on which it is based. This series is a popular sport. animated about a high school volleyball team. It has been said that 33 chapters of sleeve have been adapted to this film. So a lot of the intimate details get lost in the macro battle that goes on in the film. “The Dumpster Battle” has no backstory. So if you’re not aware of the anime series, this will seem like just another volleyball game.
Haikyuu settles for emotional moments and adrenaline-inducing action sequences. The film revolves around the highly anticipated Battle at the Dumpster, a match between rivals Karasuno and Nekoma High School.
Shoyo Hinata, the newest member of the Karasuno High School volleyball team, is excited to be on the team that his athletic idol, “Little Giant,” was once a part of. But the excitement doesn’t last long, once he finds out that one of his teammates will be Tobio Kageyama, his bitter high school rival. In fact, Tobio’s team had beaten Shoyo’s team last year. Now, since they are on the same team, they are forced to collaborate with each other to make their team a winner.
The animation is still demanding. The premise here follows a setup that has been shown before (but not in India), so there is no link here from which one can connect the dots to understand the context. Therefore, for the novice Indian viewer this film may not generate as much excitement or excitement. Since the entire runtime encapsulates a game, all we get is just that. We don’t get any personal insight into the characters or their interconnected relationships. Everything we see here is related to the game. We can hear the thoughts of the players as they prepare to serve or spike balls. After a while, it all gets pretty boring. However, the game itself is not without emotions, but getting emotionally involved in it is undoubtedly a difficult task.
