After the Lok Sabha election results were announced on June 4, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia mocked Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s comments about a changing of the guard in the nation on Thursday . He stated that everyone had the right to dream.
Earlier in the day, Kharge expressed confidence that the people will give a mandate to an alternative government on June 4 and said the INDIA bloc will form an inclusive and nationalist government by ensuring a clear majority.
“Every person and every party has full right to see dreams. People have given their mandate. 140 million people of the country have expressed their unwavering faith in the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Scindia told reporters here.
The Union minister asserted that under Modi’s leadership, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the Bharatiya Janata Party will set a new record of electoral success.
On the Tamil Nadu Congress’s objection to the Prime Minister’s meditation program at Kanyakumari, the Union Minister said, “The Congress has objections on all religious issues. It is surprising that the Congress never opposes itself.”
