rapper eminemwho recently appeared in the NFL Draft, has announced that his twelfth studio album, `The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)`, will be released this summer.
A trailer for the album features a true crime reporter talking about the disappearance of Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady.
“Through his complex and often criticized rhymes, the antihero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” he said.
Eminem’s former associate 50 Cent also makes a cameo, Variety.com reports.
“He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath,” she says.
The reporter in the video continued: “The same crude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his death. Join me as we recreate the events that led to Slim Shady’s murder.”
Eminem himself makes an appearance and states: “I knew it was just a matter of time for Slim.”
The rapper surprise released his previous album, “Music to Be Murdered By,” in January 2020, which quickly skyrocketed to the top spot on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit single “godzilla` with Juice Wrld.
Slim Shady has long served as Eminem’s alter ego, dating back to 1997’s “Slim Shady EP” and “The Slim Shady LP,” which arrived two years later.
It has often been assumed that the character offers his most aggressive and violent lyrics, which have marked him as a controversial rapper since the beginning of his career.
