A 38-year-old doctor was reportedly stabbed to death by three bike-borne attackers in northeast Delhi’s Karwal Nagar area on Friday night, police said. police he said, PTI reported.
According to PTI, the doctor was identified as Rajkumar, also known as Bunty, an Ayurvedic practitioner. He used to run a private clinic on the ground floor of his house, they said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said Rajkumar suffered a stab wound on the left side of his chest. He was rushed to GTB Hospital, where he was declared dead, according to PTI.
Rajkumar’s brother Ravi told police he saw him standing outside his clinic when three men arrived on bicycles and stabbed him, police said, the news agency reported.
Ravi was standing on the first floor of the house when the incident occurred. When he came down, all the attackers fled, they said.
Police said the motive for the attack has not yet been determined. The CCTV installed in the lane has been scanned.
“Efforts are being made to identify the culprits,” a police officer said.
Two brothers found dead inside a shop and their father escaped in Delhi
Two brothers were found dead inside a shop owned by their family in Delhi, police said on Saturday, PTI reported.
His father has reportedly absconded since then, an official said, according to PTI.
The siblings, a 13-year-old girl and her younger brother, were found dead on Saturday inside their father’s grocery store in the Keshav Puram area of northwest Delhi, police said.
The news agency reported that the children’s father Manish, who is suspected of killing the two brothers, is absconding and efforts are on to nab him, they said. Police said a call about the incident was received at 7:15 p.m.
According to PTI, Manish’s wife told the police that both the children had gone to school but did not return home. At first, she thought they were with her father, since he used to pick them up from school, they said.
“She tried to contact Manish but his mobile phone It was not accessible. In the evening, when other family members opened the shutter of their shop, they found the two brothers lying inside in an unconscious state,” an officer said, PTI reported.
They were taken to the hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said, adding that their school bags were also inside the shop, located on the ground floor of their house, police said, according to PTI.
