Amid the ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday attacked the INDIA bloc partners – Congress and Samajwadi Party, alleging that they want to give a portion of the earmarked reservation to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes to the Muslims. reported news agency ANI.
“They have mentioned a few things in their manifesto. They said that if the government comes to power, then a part of the reservation given to backward castes would be given to Muslims. Will India accept it? Will India accept this if we cut off? Remove a part of the reservation given to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and give it to the Muslims?” Adityanath said while addressing an election rally here in support of Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Ashok Rawat from Misrikh Lok Sabha constituency, ANI reported.
He said reservation based on religion is an insult to Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, known as the architect of the Indian Constitution. “The Congress always insulted Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. The Samajwadi Party also insulted Ambedkar and today they are making a malicious attempt to dent his reservation right. We should not allow the plans of the Congress and the Samajwadi Party to be fulfilled” , he claimed. he added, ANI reported.
He also accused Samajwadi Party leaders of being terrorist sympathizers. “When they were in power, the Samajwadi Party leaders were keen to withdraw the cases of the terrorists who carried out the terror attack in Ayodhya. They had also withdrawn the cases of the terrorists who had carried out the terror attack in CRPF camp in Rampur,” he said, ANI reported.
Meanwhile, ANI Yogi Adityanath lashed out at the opposition INDIA bloc, accusing it of insulting national heroes and glorifying terrorists. CM Yogi alleged that Congress, National Conference or Samajwadi Party do not have a national agenda and think only of their families. “What is expected of these family parties? They limit themselves only to their own families. Be it the Congress, the National Conference or the Samajwadi Party, they do not have a national agenda, but their family is their agenda… On the one hand, this alliance insults national heroes and on the other hand encourages mafia and terrorist elements…,” CM Yogi told ANI.
“Just a few days ago, when a notorious mob died, Samajwadi Party national president (Akhilesh Yadav) went to express his condolences on his death, but how was his behavior with the Ram bhakts when the Ram Janmabhoomi movement was going on? ..”, CM Yogi told ANI.
He also lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying: “The insulting and derogatory behavior of Samajwadi Party leaders towards the statue of national leader Maharana Pratap yesterday is condemnable… Rahul Gandhi did the same in Maharashtra, where one of His supporters were giving him the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji, but he refused to take it. “They will not honor the national leader but glorify terrorists and Pakistan…” he told ANI.
