Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) of being distant from people’s problems and the reality on the ground in Odisha. He was confident that Odisha would vote heavily for the BJP in both the 2024 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
After a tour in Bhubaneswar on Friday, PM Modi emphasized the BJP government’s efforts to improve the education sector in Odisha. During his tenure, he highlighted the dedication of the National Institute of Science Education and Research as well as the establishment of the IIT-Bhubaneswar Campus.
“While our government has done extensive work, the BjD is totally detached from the ground realities and does not take into account the grievances of the people. They have completely misinterpreted the great culture and spirit of Odisha. No wonder Bhubaneswar and Odisha support BJP in record numbers,” PM Modi said in a series of posts on X.
“Our Government has also worked to improve the education sector in Odisha and Bhubaneswar. It was during our tenure that the National Institute of Scientific Education and Research was dedicated to the nation. IIT-Bhubaneswar also got its campus, thus ensuring that the institution is capable to meet the needs of students and become a center of innovation,” he said in the post.
“Over the last decade, our Government has had the opportunity to improve the quality of life of the people of Bhubaneswar. Several road projects have improved connectivity, including the four-lane section of the Tangi-Bhubaneswar NH-16. The projects of roads are underway, which will improve connectivity between western and eastern Odisha,” he added.
