Asaduddin Owaisi got 6,61,981 votes, while BJP’s Madhavi Latha got 3,23,894 votes.
Asaduddin Owaisi has been winning the seat since 2004. He had defeated BJP’s J Bhagavanth Rao by over 2.82 lakh votes in 2019, according to the PTI.
The Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat has traditionally been a stronghold of the AIMIM, which has maintained firm control over the constituency, with a substantial Muslim population, since 1984.
At least 15 Muslim candidates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are leading in various constituencies across the country, including Berhampore TMC candidate Yusuf Pathan, who has maintained a comfortable lead against Congress veteran Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, reported the PTI.
A total of 78 Muslims participated in this year’s Lok Sabha elections.

Afzal Ansari, incumbent MP from Ghazipur, is also leading in his seat by over 1 lakh votes, while AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is leading by over 3 lakh votes in Hyderabad, where he is also the incumbent MP, according to the PTI.
In Ladakh, independent candidate Mohammad Haneefa Jan has secured a comfortable lead of 28,673 votes, while another independent candidate from Baramulla Abdul Rashid Sheikh leads by nearly 2 lakh votes.
In Uttar Pradesh, Mohibbullah from Rampur was leading with over 80,000 votes, and Zia Ur Rehman from Sambhal was leading with over 1.3 lakh votes.
In Anantnag-Rajouri, Mian Altaf Ahmad of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (J&KNC) is leading by over 2.5 lakh votes against former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, according to the PTI.
From Srinagar, J&KNC candidate Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi is leading by over 1.8 lakh votes.
