Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has directed officials to address water scarcity issues and set up fodder camps to help farms, Sudhir Mungantiwar, state forest minister, said on Tuesday.
As reported by ANI, to expedite the disbursement of benefits to ‘Divyangjan’ (disabled persons) a certain decision has been taken, Mungantiwar said after the cabinet meeting.
He said, “CM Shinde has instructed officials to investigate regions facing water shortage and provide relief. They have been told to expedite the process of setting up fodder camps for farmers to accommodate their livestock.”
Asked about deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis’ absence from the cabinet meeting, Mungantiwar said deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis participated in the cabinet meeting virtually from Nagpur before leaving for Delhi to attend the BJP parliamentary board meeting. .
Fadnavis will personally attend all upcoming state cabinet meetings, Mungantiwar added.
