A case of suicide by a woman officer of the Women and Child Development Department in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh has come to light after she was allegedly troubled by debt. The woman was addicted to playing online games quickly and easily. She was under stress after losing lakhs of rupees by getting stuck in online games. After receiving information about the incident, the local police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem after preparing a Panchnama. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
The body of Sarla Salam, a woman working as a supervisor in the Women and Child Development Department, living in Chatua village of Junnardev police station area of Chhindwara district, was found hanging from a noose in her house. It is being told that Sarla had taken a home loan, and to repay the loan, she got caught in the trap of online games. Due to online games, she got trapped in more debt. Sarla had also taken loans from many of her relatives to play this game. When the amount lost became very high and there was no way to repay, she locked herself in the room and hanged herself.

The deceased woman Sarla Salam’s husband is also a teacher in the education department. Both husband and wife were in government jobs and were living a good life, but due to the temptation of online games, the wife chose the wrong path and a happy family was destroyed.
The woman had written a suicide note before her death
These days, the addiction of online gaming is increasing continuously across the state. Now this addiction has reached rural areas through big cities. Junnardev’s Women and Child Development Department supervisor Sarla Salam committed suicide by hanging herself in her residence village Chatua after losing money in the online game rummy due to fear of debt. The woman has also left a suicide note, the police reached the spot and seized the suicide note. The police is investigating the matter.

Junnandev SDOP Rajesh Banjara said that the police had received information that a woman had committed suicide by hanging herself. The police reached the spot, brought down the body, prepared a Panchnama and sent it for postmortem. Prima facie it was found that the woman was playing online games and had taken loans from many people. It is also being told that the woman had also taken a home loan, to repay the loan of which she was playing games to earn money from online games. The police is investigating the matter.
