Four people were injured in a pile-up involving a dozen vehicles after they were hit by a speeding container in Mankapur area of Nagpur on Sunday night, police said, news agency ANI reported.
According to Nagpur police, 12 vehicles, including 9 cars, an ambulance and two two-wheelers, were hit by the container traveling at high speed.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness reported that the truck descended from the flyover at high speed and collided with vehicles in its path, leading to multiple vehicle collisions, ANI reported.
“I cannot give a detailed description of what happened during the collision because I was sitting in my car. My car was situated right in front of the traffic light,” the witness told ANI.

In another case, Pune police busted a prostitution racket allegedly being carried out at a spa parlor in Hinjewadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad and rescued three women and arrested two men, including the owner of the spa, reported ANI.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Pimpri-Chinchwad police launched a surprise raid at Breath Spa in Hinjewadi area on Sunday and busted the prostitution racket operating under the guise of massages.
According to Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) police inspector Devendra Chavan, the unit acted on a tip-off that certain individuals operating in spa businesses in Pimpri Chinchwad were coercing young women into prostitution, ANI reported.
He further said that based on the information, the AHTU launched a surprise raid on Breath Spa in Hinjewadi area. As a result of the operation, three women were rescued from the prostitution racket on Sunday and two men were arrested, including the owner of the spa, ANI reported.
The accused have been charged with offenses under Sections 3 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 and Section 370(3), 34 of the IPC, at Hinjewadi Police Station. , he added, ANI reported.
The successful operation was carried out under the directives and supervision of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Doifode.
