After a lot of hard work, Delhi Police finally solved the mystery of murder by beating with sticks in Begumpur of the capital Delhi. After examining the footage of about 400 CCTV cameras, the police have arrested two people accused in this blind murder case. The murder took place due to old rivalry. The body of the youth was recovered from a drain on Tuesday.

The slain youth has been identified as 29-year-old Gagan, a resident of Begumpur, while the accused include Neeraj and Deepanshu. The police have also recovered the stick used in the murder from their possession. Police said that on May 7, around 11:15 pm, information was received about an injured youth lying in an unconscious state in a drain in Begumpur area. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the injured youth to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. There were many injury marks on the young man’s body. After this, the police registered a case of murder and started investigation. Gagan lived alone in Karol Bagh in a rented room.

Police said that during the investigation of this case, the footage of about four hundred CCTV cameras installed from his house to the incident site was examined and it was found that Gagan had gone to Sector-20 with two of his friends to drink alcohol at night. During this time there was a fight with one of them over some issue. After this, Gagan came to his house, when the young man who had quarreled reached there with his two friends Neeraj and Dipanshu and took him with them and then beat him to death with a stick.
Murder accused caught after eight years
Meanwhile, in another case, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested a criminal Sumit alias Mukesh who was absconding for eight years. He is accused of murdering a woman with a chunni and committing robbery in Paschim Vihar area. There are 22 cases registered against the accused. Paschim Vihar resident Parveen Kumar had lodged a complaint in this regard. During the investigation of the case, the police had arrested Dheeraj, Aman alias Chintu and Hansraj, but the accused Sumit was absconding.
